8th Grade Current News

Cap and Gown Pick Up
Cap and Gown pick up will take place on Tuesday, May 19 from 9-2 pm in the front of Memorial School.  If you still owe the Graduation fee, you were sent an email.  Once you pay the Graduation fee to Ms. Pansini, you will receive your child's cap and gown. If you did not get an email, then your pick up will be at Memorial School

Please take a picture of your child in their cap and gown by themselves or with your family.  You may choose to have your graduate hold a sign with a message to the class in the photo.  We are going to include these in our virtual graduation. All photo submissions must be in to Ms. Rizzi by Tuesday, May 26th. NO LATE photo submissions will be accepted.  Email your photo to Ms. Rizzi at jrizzi@lfboe.org.  Only 1 photo per family/graduate. No video messages are allowed.

May/June Calendar
Attached is the May/June Calendar with important/mandatory dates for the graduates and their families.  If we return as of May 15, this schedule will apply.  If school opening is delayed further more, we will update you about any changes to these dates.

8th Grade Graduation Fee
We are waiting on a safe drop off date. You will be updated once we have one.
The $100 8th Grade Graduation Fee is due to Ms. Provenzano by Friday, April 3, 2020.  Please make check/money orders payable to "Little Ferry Project Graduation". This fee is mandatory for all 8th grade students.  It covers the cap and gown, yearbook, commencement photo and large group graduation photo.

Washington DC (Cancelled)
Due to the current Covid 19 epidemic, we are cancelling the Washington DC trip for this year.  This was a hard decision but we feel it was the best decision for both our students and staff.  We are looking into other possibilities for a day trip.  It will take about 8-12 weeks for the refunds to come in. When the refund comes in, we will let you know. As a reminder, the $75 deposit is non refundable along with the ticket price for the museums that were included in the visit.  These will come out of what was paid out of pocket for your refund.  The money that was fundraised will stay in the 8th grade account and be used for the Class of 2020. Anyone who backed out of the trip before the final payment, may not be eligible for a refund unless you purchased the insurance.

Tricky Tray
We are looking at possible dates to reschedule the Tricky Tray. This will all depend on announcements from local, state and federal governments in the coming weeks/months.  Please let those who bought tickets from you know that the Tricky Tray will still occur, we just don't have a date yet.
